Gingerbread Men Paper Garland Craft

If you love papercrafts as much as I do, cut the design as a double layer, one in brown, with the details and one with just the outlines, in white, then layer the white in back of the brown and your "cookies" will be instantly decorated.

We stand these little gingerbread men garlands on window sills, mantel and table tops. A few strips joined together make a lovely paper craft chain for the Christmas tree or doorway arches in our home.

Project Tips: Gingerbread Men Garland

Here's how I made my gingerbread men paper garlands using the die cut template file with my Silhouette Cameo cutter. I created a Die Cut file for Silhouette cutters (.STUDIO)

1. Cut one garland with just the outer edge outlines, from white card stock.

2. Cut a second garland from brown craft paper or card stock with all the little details cut out.

3. Sandwich both together with the white one in the back and you have a garland complete with white frosting details.

If you have a computer craft cutting machine, use the .STUDIO file to automatically cut these from letter size card stock.

If you don't have a craft cutter, simply print out and carefully cut out the pieces with a craft knife or small, sharp scissors. If cutting by hand, you may want to only use the basic shape and paint on the frosting details with a fine marker.

You can also print out the black and white line art and color in the design then trim along the border outline, or print it on craft paper with a cute design pattern then cut it out.
